Q: Are these short day or long day, or does it matter since they stay so small and mature so early? Borettana Cippolinis is classified as a long day but I consider them a "short" long day which means they mature at 14 hours of daylength so they can be grown in almost all areas that intermediate day varieties can be grown. Plant them at 2" spacing if that is the desired size you want. They can get bigger and even flatter if you spread them out.
