Intermediate day onions did well last year, wanted to try sweet, long day onions this year. The redwings did not produce as well this year as the white and yellow onions. A few grew to tennis ball size but most were smaller. Still, they have a wonderful flavor and great color. I will go back to intermediate reds next year. Clay Center, Ks

2019 was my first year buying sets from Dixondale. They have a fabulous product and great customer service. I planted Redwing, Wala Wala, Alisa Craig and shallots in a very small area outside my townhouse where most people would plant a few flowers. I had great success and will have onions into February or March. Chatham, NY

I've grown Redwing onions, for the last three seasons, in three, 20 gallon Grow Bags. I must say, that these onions have done very well, in the bags. I have enough onions that last until it's time to re-order, for the next season. I am actually surprised at how long they store. The taste is sweet, and I have enough onions to give to friends and neighbors. At this point, I am unwilling to try any other onions, as these, are ideal, for my small garden. Willingboro, NJ

I ordered a lot of Copra and Red Wing sets for my garden on a small farm right on top of Canadian border. They all did beautifully, but I was surprised to find that the Red Wing have lasted a lot longer and seem more vigorous even than the Copra. This year I am ordering only Red Wing. I will say that Dixondale supplies very excellent sets.
