Planted Candy transplants two years ago from a small package on sale. Won the blue ribbon at our county fair. Very impressed with Candy. Didn't plant last year, Covid. Found Dixondale online and ordered one bundle. Arrived very quickly and cost was great. Bundle contained more seedlings that stated. All appear to be doing great, even the very little ones. Look forward to a huge harvest. Appreciated their directions and advice. Ordered their fertilizer kit and received very quickly. Was afraid Candies wouldn't store well but they did. I sure will do business with them in the coming years, as long as I can garden, I'm 85. Hedgesville, West Virginia

Candy Onions

I have been with Dixondale farms for about a decade and have grown Candy every year. After I harvest the onions they go to the pole barn and are put on on 6 foot by 3 foot chicken wire frames. I use 2 fans for air circulation and do this for about a month. When fully dry I clip the stems and roots and store them in mesh bags with zip ties separating each bulb. I then put the mesh bags on hooks in the basement and block the windows to create a dark environment that is also cool. So I have candy onions stored from late July/early August through February. That is much longer than what Dixondales catalog states and yes, they go downhill over time. But I still have edible onions in February.. ... a great company with great products. Holt, MO

Onion plants from Dixondale farms

This is our third year planting onion plants from Dixondale farms. We are really impressed with doing business with these good folks. Best quality plants we have ever used! No kidding the results have been unbelievable! We were able to grow so many onions that besides our extended family we ended up giving lots to our local food bank and still had plenty for months to come. These were the sweet ones and still kept for 4-5 months in our cool basement. I highly recommend Dixondale!!! Palisade, Colorado

Walla Wallas are here

First of all, this is the first time I've ordered onions from Dixondale Farms. They arrived on time and they are beautiful onion starts. I planted them and they are still in the getting settled in the dirt stage. I planted 80 plants and am looking forward to watching them grow. I've never planted this time of year before so I'm excited to see how they grow. Last year was my first year with Walla Walla onions and they were so sweet it was like eating an apple, (well not really but close). Everything from ordering online to the information on how to plant, water, and fertilize your onions is right on their website. Easy ordering and I will be ordering my onions from Dixondale farms from now on. In fact I'm going to order more onions for a fall planting. I highly recommend ordering your onions from Dixondale Farms. LAKESPORT, CA

This is my first time ordering from Dixon Dale Farms and I have to say, I am totally impressed already with the customer service I have received. I only ordered a bunch of onion sets and I feel like I purchased a Mercedes. The contact from first placing the order through receiving them has been outstanding. I have received literature as well as emails on proper planting, which is much appreciated. This is a company that truly cares about its products and those that use them. I will follow with a product review later, just planting today. Thank you for the outstanding customer care. Georgetown, De
