| Love the sampler |

Comments: I always get the sampler. It's just the right amount and variety. The white onions, which are supposed to be hard to grow, always do the best for some reason. I don't have to buy onions from may until Thanksgiving. I'll grow them every year. |

| Fantastic White and Yellow; Disappointing Red |
| Posted By: Genie Crowe |
|
Comments: I purchased the short day sampler for my parents living in So.California. The whites and yellows formed fantastic sized bulbs (avg 1 lb. each); the reds mostly bolted which reduced bulb size to no bigger than 1.5" in diameter. |

| Always Great! |

Comments: Always strong healthy plants. I get mixed results with the reds, they sometimes do not fill out strongly but all perform great in my dry coastal garden. fast service and great selection! |

| Onions will save us. |

Comments: I once boiled and ate a couple of whole onions because I had nothing else to eat. They were good with some salt. Now they sell dehydrated onion chips, at nearly twenty dollars a pound, in the bulk section at HEB but a dollar's worth will make you smile and feel a little bit better than you did before you ate them. Onions rule, leeks are geeks, but I like them too.Austin, Tx |

| More Onions Please |

Comments: Great harvest this year. Still have 5 lbs in storage and its time to plant again. I'm in Southern AZ purchased several bunches of your short season sampler and even after eating alot as green onions and giving some away I still ended up with over 25 lbs to get me through the summer. I'm ready for more. Thanks |

| Success for the novice |

Comments: I really enjoy Dixondale. I am short day and have ordered the sampler, texas supersweet, candy. All have performed and grown beautifully. I do agree with the review above that the red doesn't always grow as strongly as the others. I plant closly and eat the thinnings. Its all good. I live in Southern California, 10 minutes west of the hot, dry desert. I keep them watered, cut the blossom as it starts and leave them in the ground even after the tops fall over and store them there in the ground and pick as needed. |
