We gave her a few of our plants to try. She had a 2# onion and raved about the taste. She'll be ordering for her very successful vegetable stand next year.

This is the best onion plant that you can buy, that I know of for the north. I live in North Dakota near the Canadian border. With good sun and a little lake water, this type of onion, will on average, grow up to 2-3 pounds. Big one's 4+.

First tasted this brand from a man selling them off his truck. He told us what they were and where to buy. Our 1st crop last year weren't as big as his large grapefruit size but they were wonderful. They keep well in a refrigerated environment as I still have some (Jan). So good sliced in butter, covered with paper towel and put in the microwave. Sread on a baked potato. Yummy! Now we have to get his secret to BIG ONES.

We had more comments about the Ailsa Craig onions last summer as customers came to buy! They had never seen such big and beautiful onions. The taste also matches what they see. It is a versatile sweet onion. We have raised and sold produce for 31 years and this is the BEST one I have ever seen!! Check our website at BluebirdGardens.net for pictures of Ailsa Craig!

I thought I would drop you a line and thank you for the great plants this last spring. I grew a bunch and gave away lots of onions. I want to tell you some thing about the Ailsa Craig Onion that you sell. It will keep a lot longer than what your flyer indicates (one month) I still have the aisa craig in my basement and a couple of other friends that grew them still have them to. They really seem to keep at least 3-5 months. So I would change the one month to 2-3. More people would try them. The aisa craig is a really great onion. PS. you will see my order soon.
