Also had good success with Mars red onions. These have been great on salads and sandwiches all summer. Consistent 3" bulbs.

These onions grew very well for us,most of them being over a pound. A favorite among our costumers for salads and burgers. We loved the size of these purple beauties.

Difficult growing year in MA in 2009. Wet and cold. Mars again did very well - out best variety. Good, firm onions - not large. 2-in dia max. Strong flavor this year. Great for cooking. Will store very well this year. FIRM

Next to the Walla Walla, this is my favorite onion. It's large, beautiful, looks great strung up in my log cabin, in salads, hamburgers, etc. For me, it keeps far longer than 4 months. Last year I was using Mars into March.

These grew 2-4 inches diameter last summer, here in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. But the best part is that now, mid-April, we're still using ones we stored in our semi-cool, semi-light basement. Still sweet and firm, great for salads, stews, sautes. Hope Dixondale can continue to provide these plants!MICHIGAN

Mars is my faborite onion. It's great tasting, looks beautiful in salads, and is our best over winter keeper. I'm still eating them in April. I'm so hoping that Dixondale Farm is offering them again in 2011.
