Short Day Sampler
We call it a sampler but really it is just a mixed bundle of three of the most popular short day onions. We mix equal amounts of Texas 1015Y (yellow), Contessa, and Hybrid Southern Belle Red seeds, plant them, and when harvested, produce a mixed 60 plant bunch with each variety represented. It may not have 20 of each but it will have enough of each to have a variety of onions for you to enjoy. Approximately 5 dozen plants.
The total price of your onion plant order will be determined at checkout. Pricing is based on the total number of bunches purchased (see chart to the left).

I have now purchased sampler 3 yrs in a row. No easier way to get variety in quantity I want. Thanks for make them available.

I always get the sampler. It's just the right amount and variety. The white onions, which are supposed to be hard to grow, always do the best for some reason. I don't have to buy onions from may until Thanksgiving. I'll grow them every year.

I purchased the short day sampler for my parents living in So.California. The whites and yellows formed fantastic sized bulbs (avg 1 lb. each); the reds mostly bolted which reduced bulb size to no bigger than 1.5" in diameter.

Always strong healthy plants. I get mixed results with the reds, they sometimes do not fill out strongly but all perform great in my dry coastal garden. fast service and great selection!
